I'm wondering if anyone can apply their experience and tell if there is any internal damage here... as you can see it is a little out of alignment now. Got clipped on the Interstate and am wondering if I should just repaint the bumper myself and pocket the insurance check or have it fixed properly.

Thanks all!

i'd just give it a coat of paint and a polish and wax. you likely dented/crushed the foam under the cover, but it should not be too big a deal.

Looks fine to me. It appears to be an aesthetic mark only. You could crawl under and see if the beam is still ok.

My bumper was pushed in in the exact same spot. I sanded it down and repainted and now you cant even tell.

Sounds good. I just got kind of worried that I might not be able to fix the bumper alignment/gap issue. I guess I should/could let it go... accident wasn't my fault so the other party's insurance is paying.

yup just sand it down...when you get to the plastic use a finer grit sandpaper 300-400 grit then prime it...you lots of coats of primer or else the plastic WILL show through...after primer wetsand with say 600 then paint should be good...also paint the whole back bumper....or else it will look like crap...i know at my shop we would do it for around 150-250 depending on how much the paint was

yeah, looks to be minor, you can do the job yourself. However, colormatching red is a pain.

not bad looking at all... easy fix, as long as no frame damage, do it yourself and spend the money on more mods! :-D
