7th Annual NE SLi meet (11am July 24th, 2010) RAIN OR SHINE!

This is the official thread so please try to keep posts to about the meet only. And lets try to make it 30 Legacies this year!!

The meet will be held at Colt State park In Bristol RI at 11am (I'll try to be there early). The meet will last till everyone takes off. Last year the majority of us didn't part ways till 8pm. We keep it simple, we show up, hang out, BS and meet some of the people we got to know over time on SLi. Some bring chairs and we kick the shit, some people bring food and drinks, some of us make a quick run to Wendys up the road. Come by for however long you want, say hi and show off your car and check out the rest of the rides!

The first meet may be in April, there will be a summer meet like July or August. Depending on how these 2 meets pan out we may do a fall meet!

I have internet access on my phone so I will be checking and if need be updating this thread before and during the meet that day. If for some reason we aren't at this location we will be SOMEWHERE in the park. I found a few hidden spots that we may have to use. That's why I urge you to swap numbers with people so you can call someone else that may have found the rest of us already.

I will also bring any SLi decals that I have, instead of the usual $5 each they will be $4=1, $7=2, 3 or more will be $3 each

We had a small meet towards the end of the season, it was misty the whole time, with some drizzle. It wasnt bad, just lack of people that didnt show up.

On to other news! Okin and myself are looking to rent a garage to perform work on cars, trucks and motorcycles. If anyone needs something done hit one of us up for a quote. We will also rent you some time in the gargae that you can do your own work. Once we get established we will hold a small meet there. Oh and we wont limit ourselves to just Subarus, so hit us up!

There will be a slight change of plans. We will be at the park from 11am (10:30am me) till 2-3pm. Then whoever wants to come we will take a ride up to East Providence to the garage Okin and myself are renting and we will grill it up and hang out.

Bring your own water, soda, juice whatever and chairs, there's no place to sit.

Unysoc.org has the opposite problem. 5 people signed up for a TGI Fridays meet and we had 22 show up.

We always have 1 or two lurkers show up. You have to really want to come to one of these to actually show up. The dyno meet I had school I left early and drove 2.5 hours to catch the tail end of the dyno meet at ECS. If it were another boards meet or something I probably wouldn't have went. I understand we have lives and theres some things you can't get out of but come on. Effort on your end plays a huge part, but we will see who makes it. Delvin is a tropper, always being the guy who drives the most distance every year, talk about commitment and effort :smt023 lol

No there isn't, where the meet is it's more of a historic area so there small shop all around. I don't know of any lowes or home depots in the area either. But a few of us are bringing our tools, we learned in the past to be prepared. Worst case we have a car toed to the garage and we do work. There was like 12 people working on slaytaras car when his crank pulley fell off last year lol

I need to wash and wax my wagon sand the spot I primered where I put some bondo over the holes left from debadging and brush on touch up paint, (I plan on painting it soon so as long as its blue and looks good from afar!) Attach my cheaper rally armor flaps, (rally armor says they are the same high quality urethane only thinner) And hope a package with jdm tails and center garnish arrive! Phew. Oh and I should clean the inside out too! But either way I will be there. Im heading up from the Philly area if anybody from around here is rolling up or depending on where in jersey you are I wouldn't mind cruising with a posse. :grin:

just got in from work, gonna get up and clean a few things early and head on down. Should be there around 11ish. I may have one bug eye with me, but he may end up riding along as his landlord hit his car tonight with a truck... took out a tail light and moved the rear quarterpanel. Sucks but his landlord is really nice and will pay for it all to be fixed up.

+1, great meet it was and the addition of our little brothers the impreza's was not bad at all. It was great seeing old friends ad new ppl. Sad with the lack of 5 speed BD's though.

I'll keep going to these meet with no matter what make of car I have. Maybe one day I'll show up in a Legacy again.

Dude you must have shown up after 3PM. I didn't think you were coming. Sorry I couldn't stay long, but I had other arrangements to attend to that day and could stay passed 3pm. Maybe next time.

Here's the only few that I have, I had the same problem redline was having with keeping the camera steady in the wind lol. Most of the sunroof shots were literally just shots of my roof :smt005 I tried my best to keep up with you lol but once I saw that gap in traffic I just went for it :grin:

Ah I was in total convoy mode, it was harder not to cruise at 80+ than it was to actually speed :lol:

Ha! I am right with you Ben! I bought some of that new ice wax and it came with the fancy applicator kit. I have yet to get around to waxing it. Riding home with you guys was cool though too bad I needed gas and my teeth were floating from that gallon of soda I drank at BK lounge. :grin:

He's all P/O'ed cuz he paid this guy 200 to tune the car and it didnt turn out the way he hoped because the kid pointed out that he's got a boost leak somewhere so even with the tune its not gonna produce much until it gets fixed, just doesnt know where it is though.
