ok i was wondering what size of speakers are in the wagon and if they are positioned properly for decent SQ? will just replaceing them give me a balanced sound (forward/backward) or will i have to do custom fabrication (tilting or relocating.) also say i replace them with mid tier drivers (pioneer/clarion) will they have a flat FR (close to what the drivers produce) or is there funky dips that need to be eq'd out?

the reason im asking is because the car i own now the speaker size and placement is so imbalanced (4'' in footwells and 6.5'' in the trunk with 6x9'' behind the seats.) the 4''s are useless unless you have ears for ankles and as so the midrage is severely recessed.

so if someone could chime in on how these things sound and how you have gotten the best out of your stystems. also are lower quality components going to sound decent or do i have to drop lots into this to get good sound out of it.

I got a sedan but i ran with one line from the top boston components in the front and a step down coaxles in the back. I bolted the angled boston tweeter mounts to the flat sail panels. They're being power of a boston 4 channel. Theyre not perfect yet but they sound way better than factory. Id go all boston even if you have to go low end. Also if you stick with the s class components from them you should be fine with the headunit since my cuz is running a pair off his in his grand am. If you go high just get an amp thatll match. Also it should be 6.5 in all four doors and thos 6x9's in the back just chuck them and remove and cover the wire.

Get the tweeter kit for the doors and replace the tweeters - it'll look stock and IMO, it's the biggest sound improvement I've gotten. They're perfectly placed at head level. If the BHs are the same (and I believe they are) it should be 6.5" speakers in the front and back doors.

www.sonicelectronix.com (http://www.sonicelectronix.com) has a good selection of Boston components.
