okay so my hub somehow wore out so i replaced it and made a little diy for anyone that needs to do it themselves. its relatively easy just dont get any grease on your girlfriends things or you become the dark lord or some shit. mine is pissed at me cause i got grease on her phone case.

heres what you will need:

Jack/jack stands
breaker bar
19mm x2
17mm
14mm
spindle nut socket (31mm for L 32 for GT)
about a foot of wire or a couple zipties
wedge shaped metal object

Difficulty(1-5): 2
dirty factor: 5

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING YOU DO TO YOUR CAR OR WHAT DAMAGES MAY BE DONE TO YOU OR YOUR CAR FOR FOLLOWING THIS DIY. WORK AT YOUR OWN RISK.

okay. now to start this i'm sure its easy enough to know you have to lift up the offending wheels using the jack and support with jack stands.
remove the wheel.
5 19mm lug nuts

now remove the caliper slide bolts just like you were changing break pads.
2 14mm bolts

now use the wire to hang the caliper up so as not to put stress on the brake line. i just hung mine from the spring.

next remove caliper mount bolts
2 17mm bolts

now slide the rotor off and you'll be looking at the hub

unbolt the strut from the spindle.
2 19mm bolts
remove the spindle nut and slide axle spline out. *may require being tapped out with a hammer*.
1 31mm(L model) or 1 32mm(GT model)

now remove hub from the spindle. this may require some force. i had to jerk it in and out really forcefully till the inner bearing came off the hub. you may need to have this part pressed out by a shop if the hub is still good. to remove the entire spindle, which i didn't have to you will have a couple more things to remove.
abs wheel speed sensor(if equipped.) tie rod castle nut, and lower ball joint.

now once you have it off they look like this. (yes my abs ring is fucked.)

remove the bearing from the old hub with the metal wedged shaped object. easiest in a vise with a hammer tapping the wedge between the outside of the race and the hub to press it off.
then place the bearing on the new hub and tap around in a circle and slowly press it on the hub.

reassembly is the opposite of dis-assembly.

enjoy.

Note: Be careful when tapping on the hub as the tone wheel (abs thingy) may crack & break.

Good writeup, although I will stress that many may need a press to get everything out and in.

yeah. i broke mine trying to pry the old bearings off but the wheel speed sensor was already bent and mangled it didnt matter.

and yes it is possible you will need a press. but hell, i dont even have a real hammer. hahhahaha!!! i made it out of a ball peen and a long punch wrapped with electrical tape.
