Damn! Did anyone else notice the dandelions 3 feet away from the car were bending down???!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice exhaust, even without the headers, Perdue. (I definitely liked it with the headers better, its a deeper tone)

Bought the headers and cat from Naylor over on Nasioc. Yep coated and everthing. Got the mid pipe and Muffler from a guy on LegacyGT.com. Everything bolted right up. It's AWESOME. I was actually looking for springs and struts but the opportunity presented itself and I could let it pass. I highly reccomend you save your money and do the same Ryan.

First clip is at idle and 3000RPM I think. Second clip is an incar pull from 10 to 100mph I think. It's significantly louder outside the car, and I love it :).

here's the setup that was on the wagon when i bought it. it's an axleback setup with slightly larger diameter piping and some kind of canister muffler (not even sure of brand) i plan on changing it for something different this summer. prob a 2.25" setup with a header, high flow cat, and possibly a different muffler.

Ditto! The wife's just started rattling last week & God is it annoying!! :evil: It makes the car sound like a piece of crap when you drive down the street. I'm lucky enough to have a pit at work so I can get at them very easily, but I have to get the car from the wife first... :roll:

Spener, the wagon actually sounds pretty good so far. I'm sure it will sound better once you switch over to a more open flow system.

I'm gonna swap soon to some custom stainless exhaust, with borla header, hiflow catco converter and muffler. Then I'll remember to record running it w/ open header :grin:

They are a bit silent at some moments but the muffler sounds quite like STi! More sport sound than muscle rumble but I like it.

BTW there's a nice prog called SUPER. It converts virtualy anything! I use it to transform mov vids to avi format, because my camera records also in mov.

Put my hooker aerochamber on last week, and I love its sound. I took some videos, but they kind of lie. For one, the inside car shots are way louder than the exhaust really is. The exhaust is quieter than an intake on a stock exhaust system. The outside clips also lie, as the exhaust is just a hair more deep in tone. Either way, I love how it sounds and the dual nature of the muffler (quiet when cruising, loud when throttling it). The system consists of stock header, stock cats, WRX midpipe and axleback with the muffler chopped in. The WRX resonator is still in place and I believe is responsible for the wierd exhaust note near redline. Anyway, here you go:

I like the aerochamber design, but i would put on a glass pack to give it more of a lower rumble. still, i like the cherry bomb vortex muffler and the cherry bomb glasspacks. i myself am curious to see how those sound on a suby.

New video! Same exhaust setup, but now my timing is right :lol: Turns out the previous clips one of my cams was one tooth retarded, which kind of squelched the subaru sound. This is all normal driving, the only time I romp on it is when I am coming up to the camera from out of screen:

I do like the sound.Its not that loud at all but it has a good sporty sound. I would rather it be louder and have more of a throaty rumble but that will have to wait until I have more money. There is a little bit of rasp without the resonator but I will have to admit that I kind of like it.

A header should open up the sound nicely. If you want the blublublub sound, UEL (like borla) header would do.

when it goes back to idle? or as soon as i get off the throttle?
if its back to idle the exhaust chirps at me ( started when the snorkel went back in for winter )

and i re-listened and the farting sound is chirping + crappy camera mic

sweet shit reason thats almost, if not identical to how my car sounds (when its working ofcourse haha), I am thinking of changing the exhaust to OBX EL headers and a stromung full exhaust system though, think it is work it? currently i have genuine borla UEL headers with magnaflow hi-flow cat and muffler (same one as yours) all on a 2.5" Lou's Custom Exhaust setup, since your from the area, i figure you would know about those systems, lol.

Did you get the code check out? it's probably the rear sensor.
