alright i have a standard 97 LGT and im finding that the shifting is a little on the sloppy side.would a short shifter possibly feel less sloppy?if so...
which company makes a short shifter for a 97 LGT ?
who sells it?
whats an average price?
and how complicated is it to install?
thanks

i's a big fan of kartboy.

installation is a snap for the shifter. the bushing is a little more complicated in that you have to get under the car, but really no big deal. it's well worth the extra money and effort.

no complaints. i had it on my first WRX too, and am looking at it again for this one.

Fidanza Short Throw Shifter Subaru Impreza 96-03 includes WRX, STi 7, STi 8 5-speed

Fidanza Short Throw Shifter Subaru Legacy 96-03
the range of models and MYs seem too broad. mark might wanna chime in on this and give a blurp about his experience.

you can get a genuwine STi one if you want to pay the price. STi tranny mounts help too, but much send more vibration throught the car.

new bushings will help the smoothness more than a short throw. short throws generally reduce smoothness.
