View Full Version : cig-lighter wiring.

The two wires coming to the back of the cigarette lighter are yellow and black. Now I know in either case each color could be hot, or ground. Does anyone know for sure? My multimeter is at work and my dash is torn apart :mad:

usually black is ground.

Usually, but I have seen instances where black was hot and yellow was ground.

I found my multimeter and verified that Yellow was 12v and Black was ground.
