I feel like i should know this....do wheel bearings make alot of noise when they need replacing?...and by a lot of noise i mean a LOUD piercing high pitch whine

also as ive mentioned in other posts i recently had a transmission installed that according to the people who installed it, has straight cut gears....i was expecting a bit of noise from that but this noise fills the car and is unbearable

the noise is the same pitch all the time but gets louder as the car accelerates...it doesnt change or stop during shifting (AUTO) wich is why im reluctant to say its the transmission and also it doesnt seem to to be coming from it, however its so loud its hard to tell....it starts getting really bad at about 30mph...anyway i just wanted to see what some of you think before i go down there and start bustin' heads

Did you figure out the mystery noise yet? Maybe a throw out bearing?
