from the list i'll say sam adams, but i religously drink Pabst Blue Ribbon. everyone i know makes fun of me for it, but me and the PBR just click. not sure what it is.

in terms of quality beer, though.....anything from deschutes is ridiculously good. that's badass you can get it all the way over in Penn. it's a somewhat small brewery in Bend, OR.

anyway, CHEERS!!

mike...

btw..just woke up......but this thread is making me thirsty. too early to have one. or two?

I can't get the Deschutes out here. I'm from Oregon though. I was born in Ashland and grew up in Eugene. I lived in Bend for a few years too skiing at Bach. I met my wife in your neck of the woods though. I lived in Sun Valley (well Ketchum actually ) for 3 years back in the mid '90's and I met her there. She is from out here and that's how I ended up in PA.

Oh, I can get Rogue Ales out here though so that's cool. :)

A&W Root Beer here. :D

Can't drink due to an ulcer, but if I could, I'd probably avoid beer and go for good, high quality vodka.

I've been trying pretty much all of the Sam Adams line of Beers and Lagers...I love'em and pretty much refuse to drink anything else. I haven't tried their pale ale yet...might have to be next on the list. Their Boston Lager compliments a nice burger very well, IMO.

None of the above, but I have yet to try Sam Adams.

From that list, I'd say Becks, Sam Adams & Guinness...depends on my mood which one I'd pick.

Right now my fridge contains Keegan Ales' Mother's Milk (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/6980/16385), Pilsner Urquell (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1/429) and Scrimshaw Pilsner (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/112/409).

I'm also a fan of Spaten Optimator (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/142/99), Rebel (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/168/655), Brown's Imperial Stout (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/9558/18277), Smithwick's (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/209/29602), and a bunch more I can't remember.

I miss some of the beers from home, Cascade (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1595/4463) and James Boags (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1479/3904) were what we drank a fair bit of after graduating from VB (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/353/1541) and XXXX (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/572/1530).

Haha. Gotta love the Steel. My roommates and I got about ten steel forties one night for a party. Each of us had about two in a hour or so. We were done for the rest of the night. I love that stuff.

I voted for Sam Adams because I love Boston Lager. My all time favorite beers are Rogue Dead Guy Ale, Full Sail Amber Ale, Bridgeport IPA, and Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale. I love living in Oregon!

Growing up it was PBR and HRD vodka... (I guess HRD is an Oregon thing because nobody in Cali knows about it)

Now I tend to go for Shocktop, Kona Longboard, or Sierra Nevada pale ale.

The special occasion beer is Peters Brand:

its hard to say from that list,
i like different beer for different things, like a good beer with steak is different from a beer with spicy or mexicano, and different from a party beer, but all in all probably sam adams out of the list tho for all round

As a Vermonter, I am a huge fan of the Long Trail Brewing Co., in particular Blackbeary (that's how it's spelled) Wheat, Double Bag and Hibernator. Although I am a huge fan of the Alchemist Brew Pub's beers (Waterbury, VT) as well (Pappy's Porter is a religious experience.)

If we start a scotch thread, my vote goes to The Macallan....

from that list sam adams
I prefer IPA (India pale ale) beers if I'm going for taste
Pyramid Thunderhead IPA is a good one
but at the end of the day beer is beer, and will drink just about any brew if I'm trying to party
