Anyone have gauges mounted in their legacy (pics?)? I am trying to figure out what looks better -- mounting them on the dash or in the HVAC location (moving HVAC down).

If dash top mount -- what gauge pod did you put them in?

You can adapt the Impreza 3 guage pod to go on the dash.

Otherwise there's the driver's side A pillar option.

I obviously went the HVAC relocation route. I did this cause One of my friends car's has a pod on the top of the dash and I really didn't like it, and also because I personally hate A-pillar gauges, they cal too much attention to me.

That being said, relocating everything was not easy to do. There is A LOT of cutting, bending, re-routing wires, making brackets (Radio and gauges) and assorted other custom work. I am pretty sure that I have more trial and error /modifying time into my dash then I do into my whole FMIC/IC piping setup. Also, once you do all this, it would be really hard to go back to stock if you needed to.

So, in short, it's a lot of work to relocate the the HVAC, but I personally think it's the best option.

Small compromise - the Mickey Mouse ears on the top of the steering column?
