Will a 2.5L from a 2004 forester fit into my 98 gt 2.5 would it be easier if i used the intake from my original engine on the new one?

please advise as there is one for sale with low km

Most likely won't work as the 2004 2.5 is probably a MAP-based engine, yours is MAF-based.
You'd need the ECU and there'd be some re-wiring to be done also.

Depends on whether or not the new engine has holes for those sensors.

I don't know enough about the 04 forester 2.5i engine to give you a good enough answer.

The '04 would be MAP based so it would basically be the same headache and pain of doing an entire WRX engine/ECU swap without the end result of being faster. If you want to undertake such a task go for it.

damn, i found a low km engine for cheap, but i dont want to deal with wiring, i wish i could just use the intake manifold from my car with all the sensors. aw well

You might be able to use the block only if all the sensors line up.
