Mine's currently green, but due to all of the damage to my paint, I'm going to paint it either shiny gloss black, or possibly WRB. If I can find a cheap STi longblock and stick a 3" block back NA exhaust on it, I may slap a supercharger on it and STi-ify my car (STi intercooler, Legacy hood with an STi scoop, STi wing), but I think it'll end up being pretty black. :)

dont paint it black. it will show every little inperfection. go with silver, it hides damage well.

I used to PDR its hard to master. a novice

I'm leaning to dark blue as to what I'm looking for next.

White gets dirty too easily
Red attracts tooooo much attention (had 93 Jeep Cherokee Sport in Red...)
Silver is hard to match touch up
dark Green is the other possible.....but after dark blue.

But black is still SEXY!

Gator, get the blue that I have. It has a speckled red look to it when the sun comes out, very similar to your black :D

No way gator go with my blue, its amazing when done right, dark blue most of the time but when the sun really hits it has really awesome metallic green flake in there too. Love my color.

I have the same black. People like it, but it is a PITA to keep clean.

I miss my white wagon. That stayed clean. Dust is usually a light color, so the white just goes "dull" until you wash it.

White actually isnt that hard to keep clean, moreso hard to keep shiny.
Red is the hardest colour to match
Silver is kinda blah, unless its a certain colour (the new Impreza silver, HOT)

My criteria is strigent enough as it is...I don't need to squeeze it down to the color of the metallic flake. :lol: As it is, its a needle in a quarter mile long haystack....lets not make it an airstrip length haystack! :lol:

Well mine is MOSTLY red... the carbon fibre hood isn't painted :) I'm not that big a fan of my red car, I got it cause it was the right price, a 5MT, and low miles.

Different cars look better in different colors to me - I kind of like black and silver usually but the wrong kind of black makes a wagon look too much like a hearse sometimes... which leads me to mention that dark blue looks really good on most Subarus.

I voted "Silver" as my 2nd generation Legacy GT is "Quick Silver Metallic". However my preferance WAS for the Electric Blue "World Rally Blue" that 75% of all WRXs seem to be painted. Thats a really nice colour. Unfortunately now that it is so common, maybe its not such a good colour, although very few Legacys are WRB.

Personally I HATE the green that Subaru uses (not the metallic olive green but the regular green).

I love the Ruby Mica Metalic (dark red metalic paint - sort of a dark pre-Marboro Ferrari red) that my '96 Legacy "L" Winter beater is painted. The down side to red paint is that over time it fades out in sunlight.
