Well I’ve been anxiously waiting to share some results from my recent turbo, injector, and alcohol injection system (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=876016) install. Unfortunately I can’t seem to get my ass to the drag-strip for some 1/4 mile times. The majority of my local strips are closed for the season and the ones still open have bad scheduling (work)….excuses…excuses…
Anyway, the car put down 286tq/309whp (http://66.49.172.173/subaru/pics/turboswap/vf22_dyno_big.jpg) on the dyno with a major IC hose leak which would only allow me to build about 19psi of boost. This was okay for the pump gas MAP’s but the hose kept bleeding and blowing off for the Alky MAP’s. The tuners had to dial me in at 19psi for the Alky with the understanding that I would re-tune my boost controller once the IC hose was replaced.
So, I replaced the hose and completely re-configured my AVC-R dialing the alcohol MAP’s in at 23psi. I estimate a 20whp gain from the additional 4psi of solid boost with no further leaks. This would bring me up to an estimated 330whp.
The car’s stupid fast now. No more quick nimble power to zig in-and-out of traffic with. Now when you put the hammer down you better have a nice stretch of road in front of you because next thing you know you've used it up and it just keeps on pulling..!!! I’m hopeful to see low 12’s with this setup (if I can ever get to the strip)…
Speedo / Boost vid (turn the sound up)

(wait for it to load, 20Mb)
Notice towards the end of the vid at the beginning of the boost gauge segment, you can hear the car break the tires loose from a roll in first gear when the boost comes on, it actually hit the limiter when they spun! That’s some powa to spin AWD tires on dry pavement, on a smooth clean road, in a strait line, with great traction tires, and without using the clutch
And for those who don't know the car:
