Sad update, shortly after I uploaded the previous photos, I went for a drive with a good friend and got rear ended. An unfortunate situation but it could have been worse, it happened at a stop light which I stalled out and the driver behind me saw the truck in front of me go and didn't see I wasn't moving. She was driving a Chrysler 200 and had only a scratch on her grill.





It looks worse than it actually is, it's just bent sheet metal. No lenses were broken, the lisence plate light wasn't damaged, only the bumpers were bent, and the metal. Unfortunate situation but could have been worse, still not happy about it.

Speaking of insurance, what do you pay per month on this? And what is it valued at?

Muse- yeah her insurance should cover the cost to get it fixed. I think it's valued around $8,000 and I pay $35 a month on Allstate.

Hans- LOL! It's just the rear panel mostly, a bit of the quarter and trunk lid are bent but not too bad. Tomorrow I'm going to my insurance to get it figured out

I hope so! It's roadster season and I don't want to miss the nice weather being topless and all lol. Itll give me some time with the Legacy though, it's been almost two months since I've driven it haha

I want this sign! Haha! I do my best to stray from over sized pickups, especially semi trucks, I'm looking at the tops on their tires when they pass me on the highway

Still runs and drives great, I would have bought it back and fixed it lol I had the damage on the car assessed by State Farm, they quoted almost $4500 in damage. Ive been waiting for them to get the police report because now the person that rear ended me says I rolled back into her, and she didn't hit me or something to that effect. Such anxiety. Much frustration.

There is no way rolling back into her would cause that much damage. Sounds like it might be settled in court. I know in PA law it doesn't matter what the situation is if you rear end someone its automatically your fault.

Nick, give me a buzz if you need help with the claim. Hate it when they try and jack you around. Took me 2 months to settle on my Toyota when it was rear ended. I'm good at this kinda stuff with insurance companies.

I just saw these comments guys sorry lol and I just got off the phone with State Farm, they have the police report from the accident and the other driver isn't agreeing to it, and she's is trying to get it amended. She has until next Friday.

Chad- thats what I'm saying, even if I rolled back into her, there's no way I could have done that much damage to my own car. It's so frustrating because it's only getting delayed being fixed.

Update, she did not get the ticket amended and State Farm accepted full liability for the collision. I should get a check from them sometime in the next week or so. I'm taking the Spitfire to an autobody shop I used to work for and they'll fix it up =] more on this when the time comes so stay tuned!
