MOCK Subaru Build. If time and money were no option!

    Idea for this thread....

    *1 Post
*5-10 pics with main mods/ideas. Do some good searching for the parts you would love to have!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've always been one to keep ideas to myself until I was able to unleash them but...life is short and I have too many ideas that MAYBE I will never even get around too. Why the hell not throw them out there and inspire some people with some cool ideas!?

    Here I go...

    Blank canvas!!

    Nardi Wood Grain Wheel

Blue Plaid Seats to match the OEM Blue interior

Custom Chrome and Wood roof basket.. Low and long, front to back!

    External Front Oil Cooler

Twin straight exhaust pipes about 3-5" out from the bumper.

Slammed on top of maybe these 15x8's, custom painted Blue with some stretch to the tires and a roll n pull on the fenders...

    Inspiration vehicle:

Anyone else see my vision!? Some will puke, some will hate but....who cares, it's your idea!

We drive our cars fast and hold our heads high because we have a unwritten and unspoken agreement that we will live life to the fullest and never fall victim to "The Norm". Others laugh at us when we spend hours on end working on our cars, yet shake our hands when we are done."

I like it! Almost like a Bosozoku Subaru build. Why a first gen though?

If I were to build a Subaru with no thought toward saving money, this is what I would do:

    I'd take this:

    Add this:

    And these:

    Which include these:

    Then I'd get this:

Put it together and match it all to this:

Drop it in previously shown BK and then go hunting. I'd leave the exterior stock except for some subtle wheels so I could run some Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. That set up is VERY expensive but depending on fuel and tune, could net around 600 or even 800 horsepower.
    Current:

Because I already own a 2nd Gen and want another RHD Subie in my garage. Going "VIP" with my current one and think it would be fun to do a JDM "Rat Rod/Stance/Belligerent" build.

Nice build idea, I see the vision for sure...hell of a sleeper!

I guess I could have added this to my build pics....

Give it some get up and go!

    Take this:

(My car changed to a WRB two tone, TE37 wheels, STi brakes, coilovers, tint)

Add Perrin's turbo H6 with supporting drivetrain mods:

Add STi seats... aaaand... yeah, that pretty much covers it. I'd consider morettes for my imaginary build, but I'm still undecided on whether I like them or not. Depends on the day and which angle I'm looking at them from.

Re: MOCK Subaru Build. If time and money were no option!

    I'd take a 1999 Outback Limited 30th anniversary:

    Exterior:
    - JDM headlights
    - JDM tails
    - Colormatched stock USDM spoiler (if it didn't already have one)
    - 05 LGT 17" wheels (winter tires)
    - 04 STi BBS wheels (summer tires)
    - 20% tint in the rear windows, 35% fronts, no windshield tint
    - Wagon Mafia Decal (super important)
    - Lightbar with (4) KC daylighter HID lights, 2 pencil, 2 driving.
    - Hella 500 black magic fogs in the stock fog spots
    - Acura TSX HID projector retrofit in the JDM headlights

    Suspension:

    - 04 STi struts/springs
    - Whiteline everything else (ALK, sways, bushings, trailing links)
    - Aluminum control arms

    Drivetrain:
    - EZ36R engine, cammed, PnP, forged internals, supercharged (I love torque), and a good tune of course
    - 6 spd STi transmission w/ matching diffs & DCCD
    - All hardened bushings & mounts (GroupN/Kartboy/Whiteline)

    Interior:
    - STi front seats, WRX wagon rears (fold down)
    - Tons of sound deadening (need to control all the vibrations from the hardened bushings)
    - Upgraded sound system (Eclipse, JL Audio)
    - 05 LGT shift knob
    - Heated seat inserts for STi seats (the OB limited came with the heaters)

I'm sure I'm missing tons of things, but that'd be my dream car.

Re: MOCK Subaru Build. If time and money were no option!

For a off road use I would do a brat with 33s and a EJ25D hi compression.

For track car I would do a BD with an EJ257 hi comp with a supercharger and a GT45 running nitro, to spool the turbo on 116 lighter

If it was for a sleeper I would get a loyal wagon, EG33 sleeved and stroked to a 4.0 then twin turbos.

DD I would pick a lgt spec b with some nice upgrades

Re: MOCK Subaru Build. If time and money were no option!

Can you even fit an EG33 in an EA series Subaru? It's bad enough in a vehicle designed for an EJ.

MarkSubi - please do not quote someone and leave every single photo in there. If you have something specific you're addressing in their post, that's fine, but it really clutters things up and increases load times for people when a string of 15 photos is posted twice.

I'm sure you can with an unlimited budget. Probably wind up being RWD or lacking some up front components.
