    Potential/new Legacy wagon owner...

Well, I've been trolling around for nearly a week now and I must say, I have found this site one of the better ones I've looked through. Needless to say, I have information overload going right now.

I'm looking at buying a '95 L Wagon with 215k miles from my friend, and he honestly doesn't know when the timing belt was done last, so I figured I would go ahead and do it. Looks a TON easier than the DSM or CRX I owned at one point. I have read about different kits, and sourcing materials from certain places... I think my main question would be, is a kit like this one a good one to go with: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-1997-SU...#ht_8925wt_957

I figured I might as well try and get most of it done and know what has been completed. Thoughts?

(and yes, if I buy it, I will post up pics.)

Thats a good platform to start with specially the reliable 2.2 engine. The engine is also non interference and should be dual port exhaust. I would shop around some more because thats still a little pricey. You can probably save another $100

The dual cams are a little bit harder to do on the timing belt but like everything else, once you get use to it, it'll get easier

    Good luck

    Well, it's been a while, but I finally bought a Legacy wagon. It's a '93, manual, 223k miles, and I picked it up for $850. :-)
I'll try to post up some pictures soon.

    A picture, as promised:
