    1999 Legacy outback with WRX suspension - tire problem.

    Hello guys long time lurker .


    I just spent a few hours putting on the wrx take offs on ... I just realized that the tires are rubbing. 205/70/16. Do I need new tires or did I manange to put the struts on wrong?

    Hm. Stock tires on 1999 would be 205/70/15. Your saying you have 16?

    you are correct 205/70/15 .. i wish they were rubbing. They are actually in contact with the strut when i mount the tire...

    Yeah your tires are too tall. Pretty sure you installed the struts correctly.

    205/70/15 26.3"
    205/70/16 27.3"
    so about an +1inch height
