EJ25D, WRX turbo swap, Zener Diode for MAP sensor?

So my options to regulate the MAP sensor from acting up are a Zener Diode, or a voltage clamp from Split Second.

Can someone enlighten on a little more on running a 5.1v Zener Diode, more or less how to wire it, how the polarity goes, etc. I can't see spending almost $80 on the Split Second clamp, on a cheap boosted DD setup, that cost me less than $300 to do. Especially considering I have an AEM UEGO Wideband to buy, and a racecar in the garage that needs parts.

    Picture for entertainment.
