    JDM Mirror Install- BH Wagon

Looking to see if anyone could drop some quick knowledge on how to wrap this up. I have the mirrors/switch. Did a quick wire to test and see if they worked. The newly driverside mirror would fold in but would not fold back out. So a couple things either I wired it wrong (literally matches the two wires from the switch to the mirror color for color).. or it is on some sort of circuit where both mirrors need to be fully wired for it to work properly or I got shammed by an asshole in HLR, CO...there's an adundance of info for 2nd and 4th gens...not much for 3rd... I have an 02 Legacy L wagon. Looking to wire in jdm mirrors w only the folding feature. Anything helps!

There is no special circuit to make it work. The switch connects to the mirrors color for color. It is possible that you have a bad limit switch in the mirror, and it thinks that it is already folded out.

I am thinking I have something backwards.... I have the three wires that control the angles ie red/yellow, red/white, & red/white. Then there is four more wires solid black, blue/yellow, black/white, and yellow/green. Those are from the mirrors. Then on the switch I have blue/yellow & black/white. I mated blue/yellow to blue/yellow and black/white to black/white and was only able to achieve the mirrors to fold in.

side note, when I click the switch to fold out I hear a click like it wants to do it but does not have enough juice.

Am a novice at best with wiring, but when I swap blue/yellow to black/white vice versa it will have fold the mirrors out...so ruling out a motor malfunction. Not really sure where to go next.

I am almost amazed that no one has responded to this. Will definitely post the answer once I figure it out, might be just be racking my brain too much and overlooking something simple...

MaroonRoo - any progress on this? I believe it's different than how I did the JDM mirror conversion on my old BD and BG's. Those were much simpler, as I already had the GT model, most stuff was just direct plug-in after I re-pinned some plugs
