HHHEEEYYYY project "Deja Vu" in the Mag. aright! It's awesome to have our rides showcased like this and spoken so highly of. This Mag. builds self confidence and motivation for SLI members everywhere. Keep up the hard work it is very much appreciated.

As we all know, these rides take a lot of love and passion to build or rebuild and it's nice to see someone put in the effort and time to show just how much work goes into these projects.

So... ahem... I have done zero to get the magazine back up and running in the past 4 years. But with a new year already underway and the world still dealing with health issues... maybe there's never been a better time.

For starters, does anyone still read the old issues?

There was a sweet spot for me between 2010 and 2011/2012 where things were kinda cooking, and I even got a little fancy with some of the covers. Had things stayed exactly the way they were, maybe the issue covers would really have come into their own.

Around 2013, I really started putting brain time in at my job. I started having a lot less mental room for creativity (unfortunately), so I took my mags down to a "one car per week, one mag per week" approach. After that, I just kept getting busier and busier. So that kinda explains my out (explains, yes... justifies? Maaaybe).

But seriously, if anyone here still looks in, say hey!

I do, and maybe you re-starting the magazine would bring some traffic back to SL-i. You faded out just as I joined so it would be cool to see you up and running again.

I say this with love, but the era of forums is over, and restarting a magazine isn't going to bring it back. We just went 2 weeks without a single post on this site...

There *is* truth in what you said. Probably some time around 2015 or 2016, I stopped looking at online forums and started watching live-streamed content (tv shows, videogame playthroughs, YouTube Gaming became a thing).

With that said... I'm grateful people still come around here. And a part of me still holds out hope of maybe... just maybe... getting back into some kind of a gathering mode or a magazine could be a thing.

My current job has me working my brain hard on a regular, so creative is a hard mode for me to flex. But I still like Subarus a lot.

So... the task now is to find a way to get back to the fold.

I came close to losing my hosted content (fortunately I saved the old mags). So, a close call... but the beat rolls on.
