    Speedometer stopped working.

Sorry did not know if this is right place to post this. So this is my first Subaru a 1999 legacy postal wagon.

I was driving to work today and speedometer stopped working. And I was wondering where the speed sensor is located. Transmissipn?Differential?

    If that is the problem.

    Thanks.

Speed sensor is located on passenger side of the tranny, closer to the block.

There is a front and a rear sensor on the automatic transmission Rear is on the left side (hah I almost said driver's!) on that last/extension section of the tranny.

Unclip it from the main harness, and then simply unscrew it from the transmission.
