Sorry guys...has just been pointed out to me the fact you are all driving in MPH...and these are all in KPH...I should have realized. :smt021

Still would be cool to see a few pics. Anymore BE/BH ones? Other parts available on them?

We all love parts from your neck of the woods, as can be seen from our resident JDM parts vendors such as Reuben.

It would be awesome if you could somehow convert one of these clusters from km/h to mph.. haha if only!

Did you all forget that the USDM clusters have KM/H and MP/H?

We also have Canadian members and other internationals... so pics of the clusters will always be useful!

Yeah.. the usdm ones DO have km/h and mph.. so? what are you trying to say? And yeah... they could still be useful to people in the USDM market.. i just wish there was a way to convert them to MPH. Or.. do the JDM market ones have mph on them too? i sort of doubt it since no one else seems to use that system anyways... just us weird americans.

The units are in KPH only sorry guys...had no idea your units were both...isn't that kinda weird?
Question...there seems to be no link to upload pics on this forum...what am I missing?

you need to upload them to some hosting site.. then post them using the [img] tags.

USDM cars travel north, and Canadian cars travel south... so you need to plan for that or the people that really like AWD (ie. those with snow) won't buy your cars. ;)

For picture hosting, try Imageshack or Photobucket. I like photobucket.com more.

what are you going to do with your old cluster? I want a tach that reads above 7k.

i wouldnt care if it was in kph. its not hard to figure out the diff. 120kph is 72-75mph. 180kph is 100mph. also have a scangauge II makes it easy.

They only had regular B4 BE clusters left...I bought the last STi one a few weeks ago.

$350?! Seriously? It costs 69,300? to order that one from Subaru.... :-( Somebody's taking a big loss.
And if you want the M/T version of that, it's part# ST8500066010 (but like I said - crazy expensive.)

Yeah, I'd like one of the regular B4 clusters with the 8k tach. The USDM models only got 7k tachs... I want to transfer the tach over to my cluster.

69,300 yen...thats well over $1000 NZD...i scored and picked this one up for $200. The other 2 he wants $150 each for them.....not sure what they are really worth but if anyone wants one let me know and I can get it for you at that price....shipping will be the only extra expence and they dont weigh much so i cant see it being expensive.

He has a BE B4 manual cluster, clear screen, black gauges with silver rings to 8000rpm.

Not sure what you mean by "see what i can do."
If i see one arrive there in the future i'll let you know, it's up to you if you want it or not. I'm not making any profit on this, you just have to pay shipping.

There is actually a chip (resistor or and a gear adopter) that they sell down in Australia that converts KPH to MPH with out opening the cluster... I know this because I have the gear version on my R32 GTR.. cost about 150 shipped to me..

Im curious how does that work? these aren't digital readouts but numbered facias, are you meaning you have a seperate digital readout that converts the kilometers to miles?

no, it converts your KMH to MPH... the one in my car has a gear adapter that you connect to your speedo gear on the tranny and then connect the speedo cable on it.. while I was shopping around for that.. I remember they have also one for electrical signal instead of cable...

So when looking at the cluster do you then ignore the print saying Kph and pretend it says Mph?

So the up side to that i suppose is it gives you the ability to reach 240 mph on the salt flats with some extensive modifications...

i was debating between a white face sti cluster and a syms cluster for my 3rd gen...jsut having a tought time with $350 (US) for a gauge cluster when i can put that toward a performance mod...

Very weird that they offer this item in Australia when all their vehicles newer than 1970 are in KPH anyway?
Is this a reversable switch that also converts from MPH to KPH?

Don't get it then and spend 69000 yen on something else...easy :)

Only issue with the Be sti cluster is that it does not register KM/H correctly. The needle will be in the same position as it was in the Mph cluster. I haven't figured it out yet. I added my current redline to the cluster using a piece of model decal
