I tried searching but couldn't find the right combination of search words to find what I am looking for.

I have a bunch of basically brand new 15" tires that I would LOVE to be able to use on my new 97 legacy GT. Does anyone know of any wheels that will fit (willing to shave the calipers a little if necessary)? If so please post them!

uhmss....im using 15in. impreza outback right now with no rubbing issues! i'm guessing that you can use most of subaru's 5x100 15in. stealies!

15" wheels, or 15" internal diameter tires?

The 199X Subaru Legacy and Outbacks came with 14" or 15" wheels stock, with an option for 16".

You should be able to fit 15" wheels on your car, assuming they're the correct, or close to, offset and bolt pattern, if you have stock brakes.

My car, for example, came with 16" wheels, but has 15" wheels on it, from a Outback or Legacy. :p

Why on EARTH would you look at shaving a caliper?

are the brakes different (beefier) on the GT compared to the other trims?

Yes, 15" rims will fit on a BD/BG of any trim (almost any OEM, and aftermarket assuming they have the right offset)

Yes, the GT has bigger front brakes and a double piston caliper in the front.

A lot of outbacks had 15" alloy rims, and there are a ton of steel rims (like Sarra's) off of other subarus

Looks for Legacy SS wheels or 95-96 wheels (they're the same style)

Here's a pic:

Pic loaded quick for me.

Mark, are you saying that those wheels on the outback are actually steel wheels? I thought they were an alloy as well. They would be nicer for the winter then the black steelies I have now!

The 99 outbacks came with some nice 6 spoke 15" alloys

the ones pictured are alloy. I currently have 15" steelies on for winter though.

the ones in Lee's picture are a slight variation on mine. I think mine look better

Mine aren't steel, they're alloy. I was going to get steelies for winter, but it would cost me $250 to get 4 steel wheels, valves, get the tires mounted, and balanced. My spare steelies were 14"s unfortunatly, and wouldn't have cleared my calipers. =\

5$ says the leg GT sedan has wagon calipers too.
