It's been awhile since I bought something for my car. For about the past year I couldn't stand the car at all. Since I been driving it again it was love all over again. So to treat any good girl you have to get her something nice. So this is just the first part. More goodies in transit

Recap:

KYB GR2 struts
Power slot slotted rotors (front/rear)
Hawk perfromance pads (front/rear)
Konig RP02 rims 17"x 7.5" 15.2 lbs
SPT axle-back
Perrin crank pulley

Are those the GR-2s made for the Legacy and the H&Rs made for the GC Impreza? Where did you buy them? I'm comparison shopping right now... Suspension is probably going to be in the near future for my wagon.

Reason, I have the same suspension setup, accept with a Whiteline Adjustable RSB. I think you'll be more than happy with the performance and looks of those springs. Good luck with the install.

What mounts are you running? I'm undecided between the STi's or OEM's. I'm also sourcing all spacers and rubber seats that go between the struts and mounts.

I would think the other way around. H&Rs for the Legacy, GR-2s made for the 'preza.

'preza springs have a softer rate because of the lightness of the car.

Mark - why would he buy GR-2s for an Impreza, when KYB make them for the Legacy too? H&R also make a Legacy spring (#29868) as well.

I thought the Legacy and Impreza struts (by KYB) were the same.

yes, that's what I was saying, he's got Legacy Specific springs.

let me rephrase:

the Legacy and Impreza shocks are compatible. So i figured they just made it for the "Impreza" but you could get it and it'd work fine on the Legacy also.

However, as I originally stated, you don't want to get Impreza Springs, because of the weight difference, and H&R definitely makes Legacy Springs.

clear enough?

What's the difference between the Legacy Strut and the Impreza Strut?

Yeah, but for the dealer price of ONE of those wheels, you could have 2.5 of the Enkei's, at only 15lbs per wheel.

Which would help a LOT with the heavy BE chassis.

You'll like the SPT. It is super quiet with just a very very light rasp to it. My friend has it on her 2.5RS. Its quieter, which is nice, since you don't want to bring too much attention to yourself when your car is still slow

Yea, I don't want it too louad. Nexy is a Borla header, Stromung high flow cat and mid pipe. That will help out in tone.

That is on the list, I'm replacing things that need to be replaced unless I come across a deal (crank pulley and rims). Tranny and oil cooler should come in spring. I need to finish the exhaust and suspension first.
