I just found this totally awesome site in the 3rdGen pic thread over at the LGT forums, and this place is just what I needed! I'm also on SubaruForester.org under the same username, since our family also has a Forester.

A little background info, as far as myself. I'm a senior in high school, who works on a farm as a mechanic (full time) and details cars (part time). I'm going to Kansas State next fall with a double major (Professional Pilot and Aviation Maintenance), so I'm pretty pumped about that.

I have two 'babies', so to speak. The first one is my '00 BH Outback, which I acquired this summer from my stepmother, who was going to sell it to get it out of the way, since they were buying a small pickup. She was cool enough to just let me have it. It has a few mods that I'll list some other time. The second is my '92 Chevy K1500 4x4 pickup (in 'fabulous' baby blue metallic  ) that I purchased a few years ago to get me to school and back. Started as a $2500 truck, but I've probably put triple that amount into it, and it now churns an estimated 260rwhp, 410rwtq, based on people I know with the same setup and tune. It was my daily driver until the Outback came home with me this summer. I still have it since I can't bear to sell it, and there's no way I'd get my money back. :smt009

Anywho, here's a pic of the Outback.

Welcome! Nice set up, I'm digging the light bar. Is it just the angle of the pic, or are you lifted?

Post your mod list.

Thanks! Nice username... My car is named after you.

I couldn't exactly see the point in lowering an Outback, since I pretty much live in the mud... so, I went up.

MODS:
-KYB GR-2 shocks and struts
-RalliTEK HD Rear Springs (2" lift)
-OEM '02 Outback H6 Front Springs (1.5" lift, a cheap and easy way to lift an H4 OB!)
-ScoobyMods hybrid CAI (uses stock air filter housing)
-Borla Replica UEL header, wrapped
-Custom aluminum lightbar with Hella 500FF driving beams
-'04 Forester XT A/T shiftknob (fastest part of my car...)
-'07 FXT Clarion 6 Disc CD changer with aux input
-OEM Subaru bug deflector (fancy)
-Thule Crossbars with Rola roof basket

To do list:
-Magnaflow muffler
-35% tint all around
-Custom front skidplate, made to protect the header as well as the sump, etc...
-RalliTEK 22mm RSB
-Wet Okole Seat Covers
-JDM clear rear corners, clear front headlights (still on the fence, I've never seen them done on a white outback)

Some day:
'06-'07 WRX rims with all season performance tires
General Grabber AT2's for the OEM 16" alloys
Primitive Rear Diff guard
...H6 + GT35R swap?

Welcome! Nice cars, don't forget to start a Member Rides 1 journal... and do one for your truck in Member Rides II!

That car is sweetness. Love the lift! I'm looking to lift mine 4" after graduation.

Yeah, that was the nickname (not name) of my first Legacy and it moved on to become the nickname of my current Outback. I feel your love for mud too. I've got the stuff splattered on all four interior door panels.

Oh, and good to see another Tennessean on the board. There's not enough of us.

Thanks! I'll do that soon! I need to get all my pics together...

Thanks man! I'd love to go a little higher, but it's not worth the effort when I've got the truck for the really nasty stuff. I'm trying to keep the car reasonably tame since it will have to make long trips in the future.

The name BattleWagon in my car's case, came from when it lived in DC up until this summer. It was my stepmom's commuter car, and it battled the Beltway every day, and took a beating.

Yeah, there are too few Subaru's where I live... most people around here don't even know what one is (I'm not kidding!). My Outback, and my parent's / sister's forester are two of three Subies within 50 miles (there is another Forester), and the only others I've seen are just passing through town. They always wave though! It makes me smile for the split second that someone else recognizes my car as something cool.
