Anyone else here running a modified HID setup?

I have the lights from Heresmymind, and they have been working great.

I want to say in the last year or so I have this weird, aggravating issue with the driver's side light. If I drive in some heavy rain, the light will work fine, as long as I don't turn it off. Basically if I'm parked outside after I go shopping or something, when I return, the driver's light will not turn on.

After everything dries out (I assume) the light works fine again.

I've looked at the wiring and the harness when it doesn't work, and the couple times of I've looked at it, nothing seems really damp. So I have no idea what is going on.

Any ideas?

leak in your ballast housing. Check for that.

I have this same problem too and it just started it is really weird. The light will turn on and get up to temp and stay on for a good few minutes and then shut off. But sometimes the light will stay on for longer. The only way I have been able to fix it is turning my lights on and off and even then you never know how long the light will stay on for sometimes it a few minutes sometimes it dosen't go off. I am really stumped on what to do so if anyone has had this problem and fix it would you let me know. thanks.

that would be a ballast issue. I believe you have matsushita ballasts. take the bottom side where the wires connect. unscrew the 1 small gold phillips head screw and shake any water out that is inside. place it infront of a fan. then after its all dry and it is confirmed to work again, take a bead of silicone and run it around the brown plastic wire clip to prevent moisture from ever getting int here again

SO after I took the ballast covers off I discovered a little water inside and after drying them out i layed a bead of silicone around the whole case so it would be sealed up. They worked for awhile but after driving in some serious rain last week the drivers side one went out again...and this time wouldn't turn on again not even a flicker. I took the ballast back apart and there was a little moisture in them but not like before and after drying them and putting the ballast back together it still did not turn on. Is my ballast done for?
