i found a set of struts and spring that came off from a 2007 sti, i was tring to find more information about this, but i want to make 100% sure if they are going to fit in my 1997 legacy gt, if they are going to lower the car about 1 inche or a little bit more, i know that the handling is going to be alot better, so does they fit? are they gonna lower it?,

2004 STi is what you want. I've seen sets of struts and springs go from completely cheap, to ridiculously expensive.

I think pre-04 wrx struts and springs also work.

no the 05+ stuff does not fit in the front. I took the struts apart and used the newer internals in my 04 housings because mine were getting worn out.

The 04 struts fit on their own but I had to slot the struts and buy camber bolts to get the alignment right.

do you have to use the struts from the wrx or can i use my ownand just change the springs? mine are almost new so i didnt really want to get new struts. and how low will this lower my car if it will even fit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LOWERING ... ccessories (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LOWERING-SPRINGS-SUBARU-WRX-02-03-IMPREZA-RS-WAGON-D1_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2ea9552bf4QQitemZ200409426932QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories)
