hey guys..

this is my 89 735il license plate: MD Historic # KILLNIT

214 on the clock purchased for $800 not 8000 but eight hundred dollars

upcoming mods include:
bavtoys performance chip
"kylie mackie special" exhaust (just wait and see.. and hear)
m5 replicas 18"x8" with 215/40/18 kumho redsmoke(cheap decent tire)
zorgeit or however you spell it lowering springs
angel eye HID headlights
new fog lights
led tail lights
window tint

and when i have a few thousand dollars ... new leather for the interior.. not bad for 20 years but not good enough for me

A suggestion???

Put off the Angel eyes/Tint/ and tailights for a couple of months and go for Air Ride. Just works so well with that body.

You're lucky then.
Hopefully he did the wheel bearings and balljoints. 735's are also easier to find 5spd swap parts for. (535's are usually the donors)

I found a near mint interior for $350. Door panels/trim pieces/dash/ and headliner inc. I'm sure you can find one for less.

I love them with Euro 7 bumpers/19" Alpinas/ ECode headlights.

Good find.

yea hes got receipts for the ball joints and bearings and a transmission service 20k miles ago.

the headliner and trim peices are fine the seats are the problem..

11-22-2009, 02:40 PM
i just found a book under the spare in the trunk full of receipts, notes, dealer services, everything since 23k mile to 165k holy shit.. everything on the car is pretty much new.

Clean up your yard!

11-23-2009, 11:43 AM
Rip out the engine and put it in an E30

11-23-2009, 12:15 PM
i just got the back seat working.. its nice to have 20 year old back power seats

The back seats on these cars are insane. They're stupid comfy and old leather is just flat out cool. My e28 was the same (just no power). Take good care of your e32. Don't do anything stupid with it...

im still trying to figure out the kinks .. the rear headrests dont go up and down with the switch like they should.

11-24-2009, 03:19 PM
my front seats had power headrest and they didn't move either. The motors worked, because they made noise, but the headrests just creaked and never moved. I honestly didn't care so much... I figured that the same idiot that made BMW window motors made the motors and mechanisms for the seats. Do all your windows work... be honest.

You might have to remove and clean all connectors. Best way to get acquainted with your interior.

being completly honest yes all my windows and sunroof works fine.. the move slower then cars im used too but i think its cause its 20 years old.
im still trying to track down M5 replicas.

11-25-2009, 07:17 PM
just found a set of 17" ugh m5 reps for $200 wheels and tires 13 miles from my house..

edit they were the older ugly m5 wheels.. im looking for 06 and up M5 wheels for less then $600 for all for 18x8.5

11-25-2009, 08:16 PM
Nice ride you found there, not sure about the led lights and angel eyes...whole different era.

Are you a horder mate?

11-25-2009, 09:15 PM
a what? horder?

led tail lights are very subtle and they would have a light smoke.

the angel eye headlights are very nice they look like they belong. youll have to just wait and see.

il be swapping hoods and grill with a 750il as the 735 has the only thing i dont like.. the narrow grill that doesnt fit the wide stance of the car..

11-26-2009, 01:19 PM
Look forward to your mods.

The horder reference was for your yard....or did a hurricane hit your place

I'm surprised your neighbors haven't called the city/town or set the yard on fire yet lol

As for the car, not bad, hope you don't do anything ridiculous to it like the BG, please don't rice out the beemer.

11-26-2009, 08:41 PM

hell of a car..

need wider grill and hood from 750

carpet needs some love..

with a longer body you would think they sacrificed trunk space.. they didnt..

the 735IL long rear door.

so what.. i started already.

mechanical problems:
1.thermo stat needs to be replaced.. it sticks causing the car to randomly overheat and fails to blow hot air in the passenger compartment.
cosmetic exterior imperfections

11-30-2009, 09:18 PM
im sending the head out to get cleaned up and check for warpage.. so il just be cleaning up the engine bay for a bit till it gets back tomorrow night.. then i cant do anything but set it on ther till i have my new head studs sp it wont be done for a week or so.. i really dont want to reuse the old head studs.. their crusty everything needs to be cleaned.. the engine needs to be flushed cause this thing has 214k mile of shit clogged up in the oil passages

as for the towel dispenser my dad keep bringing them home his work bought new ones.. so we have like 30 here

Man.. how the hell do you afford so many cars!? you are one lucky guy.. always have something fun going on! Btw.. cleaning the leather seats per that guide.. I did that.. WOW.. what a difference it makes!

12-01-2009, 05:28 PM
well this awesome.. i was cleaning the head and stuff up so it looked all shiney and i had them safley mounted on a upside down recycling bin.. the god damn dog knocked over the bin so now i have to send the head to a machine shop to get checked on.

i wasnt going to send it out cause i checked for warpage with a straight edge but now it has to go.
