i was just driving my car to dow honda and just after i dropped my mom off to pick up her car i'm driving and i look down and the TEMP guage is at 3/4's!. My heart sunk a little but as i watched it only took seconds for it to return to normal. I had driven maybe 25-30km's at that point and was only stopped for 30 seconds when i dropped her off. The temp guage rose about 2 minutes after i dropped her off. I continued my drive home fine although my eyes were glued to the temp guage and every little twitch was nerving. I went another 20km's fine on the way home after it happened. I think i was on an upwards slope when it happened

I'd like to here your thoughts, i'm hoping it was some random spike that had nothing to do with anything  But the one time the temp guage went up on my old car it kept going up to the very top and the HG's were toast... so i've decided thats not what this is going to be

thoughts?

Check coolant level, bleed out all the air. Air pockets in the cooling system can also cause this.

^ remove radiator cap and allow engine to run (must wait till after the thermostat has opened), add more coolant untill radiator is full, also put a slash in your coolant reservoir if its bone dry.

There is also a bleed screw on the opposite side of the radiator cap that can be removed so that when you add coolant the air escapes out the bleed screw.

I do not think that that should be there, But that could be a problem letting air in while cool.
