well this is the first subaru iv ever owned and it is fun, i need to add some engine pics and my new turbo but ill do it later im to lazy, so far i have...
-turbo from a 2004 wrx
-tmic from o4 wrx
-k&n filter
-custom made catles down pipe and up pipe
-5zigen muffler with 2.5 piping from down pipe back
-blacked out tail ights and front turn signal
-painted gauge bezel
-custom front lip
-custom grill
-and functional hood scoop
i proboly missed out some things but not sure,
soon to get is strut bars, lowering springs, some new tires and maybe some neon lights for under the car, and drilled and sloted rotors next time i change the brakes, ill post more pics soon
update!!! so i got pulled over got a fix it ticket for the turbo so i took it off, so far i have a
-homemade grounding kit
-neon coil pack
-new exhaust(other one hung to low and scraped on everything and made a hole in it) so now its just a straight pipe with a nice tip
-cold air intake made from 3 inch black plastic pipe
-painted the back light white to match the car
-cleared corner turns and in the process melted the lens of it a little bit
-made the fog lights stay on with the bright lights
and i think thats it im gona get underdrive pulleys soon and a real cold air intake, ill have good pics up soon i just moved and cant find my camera

i cant decide if i should just clear the corner turn signal reflector or keep it tinted, will that trick of putting it in the oven at 250 for 5 mins work with this year of lights? i might try it, and im also gona add a home made grounding kit

I would say clear them and while you are at it bake the fogs and tint them blue or something!

thinking of painting my rims but not sure wat color, i think im gona paint them white maybe black, not sure. i painted my calipers red so i think the black would look good but not sure wat it would look like with white body. i also painted my neon coil red and my wana be cai red just for fun, it looks nice i still wish i could find my good camera to take good pics

The springs should work but you may need some wrx tophats im not sure though. But i do know the wrx front strut bar wont work. We need a 96-01 impreza 2.5rs front bar while the rear uses a 02-07 wrx bar. Here are the ones im running in my 98 legacy gt

If you offer them like 5 less then its going for they will take it at least they did for me.

I have a question though are you running a wrx turbo setup like headers uppipe and turbo and the stock wrx topmount on your 2.5 N/A block? If you are how does it run and what are you tuning it with? Thanks car looks pretty good not a fn of the grill but to each there own.

i made a custom up and down pipe and used stock headers on my stock block and just made it work, and honeslty i wasnt even running a tune and it ran pretty good but i was only running like 4.5 psi so it didnt really matter, one problome i did run into was the intercooler didnt fit cause i guess i got the big one so i had to cut a piece of it off right before the tb and i had to cut the inside of my hood so make sure you get the right one

and yes i now my cold air intake is hella ghetto but i ordered a new one yesturday and some underdrive pulleys, im bidding on some 04 wrx struts with tein springs

open your pictures with Microsoft Paint program, hold control and press 'w'. Change the width and height from 100 and 100 to... say 50 and 50? Its up to you, play around with it but make sure they are the same numbers.

Your other option is to upload with Photobucket, as they will resize for you!

205/45/16 is too small. They'll affect your ride quality and the speedo will be way out of whack. Go with stock size 205/55/16.

Car looks good by the way. I just lowered my car recently too. I'm lovin it.

If the struts are in good shape you should throw some different springs on them.

size will not effect your speedo that much. im running 235/45/17 and my speedo is 3mph slower than im going.

Whoops, totally forgot I asked for the tire size, forgot to reply. I have a 98 Brighton Wagon. The stock size is 185/70 14s. So the closest 205 tire is a 50 series. But ya the 45 is too small. Also, against popular opinion, I'm looking to have my car lower than the above.

its so low it rubs in the back i had to cut the fender, its way to low i wouldnt go this low unless your looking for just a show car and dont drive on the street, i think i have the lowest springs they make anyways

Hmmm, I'm hoping the 21mm difference from the 55 to 50 series tires makes a big difference. Coilovers should arrive in 2 weeks. It's ifs and buts right now. I'll post pics when I can.

i now why would you want to go lower, i guarantee you wont like it unless the roads in your area are smooth as a babys butt and you like turning wide cause it will hit the fender if you turn to sharp, if your going to go lower might as well get hydraulics

Optimal suspension geometry is of little concern. Rollcentre kit will be in store if it's really bad. My car will never be tracked. It's driven on the highway 90% of the time. Getting myself to and back from work is it's only purpose. So the lowest it can go while still accomplishing it purpose, is where the car will sit. To be honest, I don't think it'll be lower than "legacy98gt"s. I park in an underground lot with a sloped ramp. I'm sure it'll scrape. Low and slow is the game. Can't afford speeding tickets. In Toronto, 50km over the speed limit and you're basically fudged. They'll literally crush your car and ticket you for street racing. Even if you're by yourself. I drive slightly faster than I should, hoping a drop will slow me down. Now if i tracked my car...OR if it were a GT or something more than a brighton wagon I might be concerned with geometry. But as of now.....low enough to scrape. :cool:
