So I've been looking around and can't figure out where to pick up some Whiteline Flat Out springs for the BD anywhere. PDM has Control's and so does Turbo Whole Sales but no Flat outs. I sent Turbo a message but they never got back to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just don't want to get a saggy butt from h&r or be up too high from the Whiteline controls. I'm gonna run a full skid plate underneath so clearence over snow isn't a big issue.

Good luck finding some.. i heard it can be kind of hard.

Btw.. where did you get the skid plate from? Any pictures? Sorry to thread jack.. it just caught my attention!

Well I don't have one yet but very soon. Primitive makes a skid plate for our cars.

I thought they might be out of production. I saw your pics during my searches. Like the ride :)

Next best thing to Whiteline Flat Outs are King Springs Low. ;)

Kings are for sure my back up plan. But even those are pretty hard to find in the US so if anyone knows where to find king springs feel free to post up the info

Just looked at king springs 2009 catalog and it looks like they stopped making them. All I can find is Impreza springs new.

Contact the NZ distributor for King Springs in Auckland. They stopped making them but they still have them. ;)

Also, if you PM Reuben, he can probably hook you up with a set.

Can anyone offer up some info on how low the King Springs Lows drop a car?

The Whiteline Controls which I have say 25mm to 40mm. I never measured the car when the Controls were installed to see what the true drop was. The RSR's I'm looking at say 35mm to 40mm.

And Shane, if you can find the Flat Outs for a BE, you've got my business.

Can anyone offer up some info on how low the King Springs Lows drop a car?

IIRC, KS Lows drop 30mm on average, the KS Super Lows drop 50mm. Depends on the engine/chassis combo but my waggy has KS Lows on it and it's a perfect drop front-rear without any rear sag. I did get springs specifically designed for the BG, with a 2.5L engine.

King Springs is primarily catering to the JDM market, so when you look at the catalog you have to pretend you're living in Oz/NZ and are driving an import vehicle - which means you go by the engine code + chassis. They did make springs for the BG with the 2.0 turbo, and the 2.0 normally aspirated. The springs cost me around $220 US I believe, and I brought them back to the states with me as checked luggage.

Good info - thanks. They never did offer a Super Low for the BE/BH chassis, but I was hoping the Lows would be a bit more agressive than the Whitelines.

NZ$? or US$?

You should still contact Reuben - he lives in Auckland, NZ - he could probably snag you some nice used ones too at a much lower price.

Never mind on the springs for me. Need a valve job so I guess it's back to waiting for me. :(
