02-03 wrx or 04 STi springs + stock BD struts?

What I'm trying to ask is if I can get 02-03 wrx or 04 STi springs without getting the struts and using stock BD struts, will it fit?

Also are there any springs for our BDs where we do not have to purchase struts?

I see a ton of threads about springs with struts, but I've seen this question come up in other forums and no one really had an answer, but I was very curious.

You can use WRX springs with Legacy struts, but you have to use the corresponding WRX upper spring perches. Not all WRX springs are a perfect fit either.

Any lowering springs that are offered for the BD (H&R, Eibach (discontinued), Whiteline, iON, RSR, King Spring etc) can be used with stock struts. They are spring replacements and have OEM fitment.
