Hi all,

I'm Andy from Sheffield, UK.

This is my 1999 Legacy 2.5 GX.
-Bit of an odd car for a 22 year old but I can easily fit my bike or fishing tackle in it. . thats when my dad hasnt 'borrowed' it.

Haven't really done much to it yet due to been skint.

But here's the progress so far.

Here's what it looked like when I picked it up.
- The Private reg was on it when I bought it, if anyone fanices it, let me know.

Aparently my car is pretty rare due to the colour (only ever seen another legacy in this colour and that was a saloon), its manual, and it has the lux pack - so full leather, aircon, cruise control and everything else you could ever need.

Jobs done so far:

Fitted Aero wipers - old ones were buggered
Fitted a GT-B rear Spoiler
Fitted my Alpine head unit
Fitted clear side indicators
Fitted silvertec indicator bulbs front and rear.
Painted the fog lights yellow
Removed the rear wiper

Next few jobs (when I have some money) are:

Import size front plate
Impreza Momo steering wheel
Tinted windows
Wind deflectors
Lowered on a set of Bilstein's
Front lip
Aero mud guards.

Then jobs in the future:

Alloys
Maybe some engine mods / or a swap

What do you all think?

Looks great!
Always loved that color - white or gloss black 17" wheels look great on the car, esp. after a mild lowering.

the colour is so unique, do you guys have a big legacy following over there?

Thanks guy's, glad you all like it.
The colour was only run for 1 year i believe.

ndto - we do have a UK owners club, I've not really been an active member on there but I am starting to get more involved. There's a huge following of Impreza's, but everyone who's seen my Legacy from my local Subaru forum (SheffieldScoobys.co.uk) likes it - Im the only member with a Legacy - something Im quite proud of lol.

about 3 to 4 inch was about as serious as it got but it still pretty much crippled the country, we just cant hack snow lol.

Unless you have 4WD
I went 'off the beaten track' and had some fun in the snow while everyone else got stuck in and had the day off

a new update for you all,

The recent snow + grit + salt has finally killed my original Scooby exhaust, so today I've had a CAT back system made.
Its not loud at all, just a fraction louder than standard but is lovely, just what I wanted.
Here's a piccy

Its a 4 inch, slash cut pipe. (only 1 inch larger than standard)
I didnt want anything loud or brash due to the fact that I may be selling it soon, its costing me around £70 a week travelling to Huddersfield from Sheffield 5 days a week. All depends on if I get a job in Sheff that I went for an interview today.
Even if I do get this job in Sheff, I quite tempted by a few cars but we'll have to wait and see.

Real cool dude! I don't think its weird or odd to have a car like this at your age. I'm 2 years younger than you and my Legacy wagon is awesome, so practical.

Looks great man! That definitely IS a rare color! No twin turbo in it eh? Keep up the good work and keep us posted what you do to it!

nah, cant afford the insurance of a twin turbo at the moment, maybe if i keep the car for another year I may get a WRX engine in it.

I think that color was only available on the 2.5GX Package. I have seen 2 or 3 for sale here, All wagons and all 2.5GX.
