Just installed a syms strut tower bar... thanks to huffer for confirming the fitment... it was a pain, it was from a GC

as far as the hood, it is a VIS BH/BE "GT-B" hood or "B4" does not show in their website but if you ask for them they will have it..

Get them to hammer everything that the wheels are going to rub on. I had to do a lot of hammering on the inside of the rear fenders to get it to stop rubbing. Also on one side it was rubbing towards the front of the wheel well where that one piece clips in.

And in the front, make sure it's not hitting with the wheel turned and weight on the car.

It would suck to have all the body work done just to have to hammer the car more after it's all finished.

they are pretty experienced with this stuff... handful of cars were done at this body shop that has made it to SEMA... to name a few.. my poopra, GTR, S15, bunch of muscle cars and Bulletproof automotive GT-R etc.. I I already know how much to stretch also based on my experience, gotta calculate the the width minus the offsets and suspension travel...

I went to visit the car today and let me tell you.. Im very happy on the job they have done... Ill pick it up sometime this week..

Well that shouldn't be too hard to fit. The wheels at least won't be. They only stick out 11mm more than mine do and I didn't have to pull anything. Just had to roll the lip and hammer on the inner fender in the rear and strut tower in the front. So you're pull should more than make up for that 11mm.

What size tire do you think you're going to run. I'm running 225/40r18 and even though I could probably get away with a little wider, the extra height would've probably been more of an issue. I'm only running 8k/8k springs and at the height I'm at, there's no way to go any lower without rubbing a lot more. My front tires are hitting the frame and it's not exactly a place that you can clearance with a hammer.

But it also depends on how low you're going to go. But if you don't go low enough running that width/offset is going to look retarded.

as far as the lowering.. it stays like it is now... HnR springs with Bilstein .. I ran with 235/40/18 at the track, hoping to run 245, can you post pic of your car, i want to see how it looks.. Also How wide of a wheel did you go...

OMG that lloks so sweet. i love the new paintjob the black strip with red out line really makes it stand out on the white car. also love the silver strips cnat see them that well in the shot from back to front the light sort of reflects and loose them but you can see them in the front to back photo it a great combo with the black and red. Also like how you did partial pain on the hood. is that the carbon fiber hood. seen both version on the Vis webiste i was looking at the one with the big scoop even though i am non turbo. but like how you painted the sides and left the center black. great work

not quiet sure, but cost me 150 bucks for a tube... it was first screwed together till the glue was dry, then the screws were taken off.. its pretty strong since ive scraped it on my driveway a few times already..( or should I say my wife did)

the only thing stopping me from these upgrades are the time attacks... im still in the stock awd class :grin: if I go up to modified class, its hard to keep up with the more nimble STi and EVO

Ive changed my muffler to the apexi ws and about to install the magnaflow resonator and cat... trying to keep this thing quiet... Ill update as soon as I get pics... also the steering wheel has been changed..

Update... tracked the car yesterday... having a great day being chased by a dozen evo.lol, was already ahead (time wise) but decided to stretch it more, pushed harder then the motor went...., Time for a fully built STi... go big or go home..

this is what i have so far

BC 2.7 stroker, and all other BC supporting stuff that Brian sent me, cams etc...
ATP GT35, (may buy a ATP3071 to keep it looking stock)
ID1000 injectors
KAR FMIC with custom piping
Same HKS BOV thats on the car now
GMS TGV deletes
Stock STi top mount fuel rail (for track tech inspection, will look stock)
add a second Denso supra fuel pump

there is more, gotta go through my pile of things..

Build is done but have not had a chance to tune it.. Basically all the internals 1000cc and gtx35r front mount radiator and little supporting mods.. The reason why the swap seemed like it was pain in the ass was because i think I was the first to do it on this chassis and I had nothing to go by.. Other than that

Harness
Fuel pump controller
Baja turbo cross member
The axles and driveshaft was the most expensive (besides the motor and trans) and pita
