is it possible to swap a 98 wrx sti cluster into my 97 legacy. would there be a lot of customizing needed or is there any other sti clusters that would fit easily. or if there is a link to a similar request if you could lead me to it i havent seen any yet.

Its possible that the plug for the gauge cluster itself is different but I do not no for sure. I'm fairly certain that it is though. Also the shape of the cluster is different. Also your redline would be off and your speedo and odo would read in kph instead of mph. I'm assuming you are in the US but since you haven't filled out your location information I have no way of knowing for sure.

Ya minnesota. ive seen it done and im interested in doing this to solve the kph to mph im gonna get a heads up display, that i saw another legacy user using. so i would more than likely have to hardwire the plug in and customize the cluster shape to fit.

Oh? Sti or Sti modified? Plus the 2nd gen's ran from 94-98 outside of the US.

Not in Japan, they didn't. Not even an STi modified Legacy.
