Hello there, just getting into Subaru...
Just recently got a 97 Legacy GT 2.5L and was thinking of getting a Cosmo Racing Intake.
I wanted to know if it's better to get the full Cold Air Intake or the Short Ram System?
Which one performs better or are they the same? Any advice would help... Thanks...

There was a thread like this just a few days ago.. search around. Here is the summary:
CAI: great for getting cold air to the engine.. however, if you live in an area with lots of rain / snow.. may be a bad idea since it MAY suck up snow / water.. etc
SRI: Pretty close to CAI performance.. in fact I have never noticed any different with mine.
Another thing you may want to look into is creating / building your own hybrid intake system. Basically what this is.. is the stock airbox.. but instead of using the stock airbox tubing to go from the box to the intake manifold.. you use an ebay intake or something. These are supposedly one of the best setups you can get.
I wouldnt buy a CAI from anyone.. they will rip you off. You can get an intake on ebay for around $50 bux or less.. and it will be more then what you need. Look around in the DIY threads.. its really not hard and one of the very first mods you can be proud of.
