I belive that in the manual recomended plugs are NGK for the best performance. Not sure on wires, but I am looking myself for those.

Those wires are designed for the SOHC engine... they won't fit on a DOHC because of the extra width the DOHC's have.
If your 2.2L is the same width or less as the SOHC engine, then they might fit if your plug ends look like this:

When these wires were released a few years back, I bought a set because they told me they'd work for 98 Impreza RS (same engine as my GT). They didn't, so I sent them back for a full refund.
Hope this helps.

You also have to consider the spark plug boot shape and length, and the coil tower connection (female or male)

Subaru made a variety of different length plug wires. Although they may look identical you are better off getting something that you know is meant for your year through a parts shop. My hybrid motor doesn't seem to like any plug wires that I've been able to find, from several model years. I have to make my own using OEM Subaru plug boots and custom length wires.
