So my dash has been getting real dirty and gotten really lazy to clean it every two weeks. Anyone know how to replace a cabin air filter in a 95 legacy?

Scoobymods has a DIY for a cabin filter install for the GC Imprezas. I bet that the same idea would carry over for us Legacy guys.

I was asked to provide the link the Cabin Filter install for an Impreza. I don't know if it applies or not.

yeah i get that, but i was just curious why 1st gen imprezas would have it and not 2nd gen legacy's seeing as they come from the same time period more or less.

Well, the 1st Gen Impreza's didn't have one either, that DIY is for the actual install of one.

oh ok, so that car doesn't come with one but has the location for one to be installed? is it fair to assume the legacy has the same situation?

Right, it requires a bit of modification but can probably be done.

It's behind the glovebox. It probably hasn't been changed. People almost never do. When I changed the cabin air filter in the "Blitzen6", it had dirt and junk in it. It was so much nicer after the change.

Just happened I installed my cabin filter/kit for my 00 GC8 today, I had to cut a slot to slide the filter in which is next to the blower then screw in the filter's cover. I also have 95 Legacy so I'm going try to look for the blower and see if I can do the same thing even knowing it's not design for the cabin filter.
