I have, at work, a 2005 Legacy that needs an engine. A long block is not available from Subaru, and no one can find a used one in the entire USA. Any ideas or leads?

Thanks Reason. We were able to find the short block and heads at a dealer. I was hoping to find a used engine, but it has been impossible. My other issue is that the local Subaru dealer tore the engine down to see if it was warranty, and sent it back in pieces. I don't have a problem with putting together the engine, but it would have been much easier if I had torn it down myself. Now I have a puzzle to do. I hope they sent everything back as well.

Gts are still very new and they make them in limited numbers. You can try swapping an sti engine instead.

If I could only tell you where my wrecked 06 LGT is... That would have worked. Damn!!

I wish it was a GT. Then I may be able to find an engine for it.

Can't do a swap, it is a customers vehicle. I have to repair it to what it was when the customer purchased it.
