During this past summer I put a 5000k hid kit into my jdm projectors and after having them in for a few weeks a cop pulled me over and told me they were literally so bright he was still seeing spots....luckily he let me off with a warning. After that incident I went on the web and looked up the Washington state laws on headlights and what not and I actually even found the aiming height for the headlights that is legal in Washington (when 25 feet away from a wall the beam should only be four inches up from the height of the center of the beam) so after aiming my headlights to that standard I still get flashed a considerable amount and even the other day while driving in daylight a cop flashed me and turned around to come after me but couldnt do to traffic. Now from what I read about HID's before I bought these was that 5000k was pretty much the way to go so my question is has anybody who is running this similar setup running into the same problems...and if so have you done anything to fix it? Im really tired of taking back roads at night to avoid cop routes. Help!

do you actually have a projector lens in your housing or are you just running HID bulbs in a standard housing?

You said JDM projectors so I find it hard to believe that you are scattering that much light. Are you sure you aimed them correctly?

The JDM projectors aren't meant for HID bulbs, and they have the wrong light cutoff, so you will blind oncoming traffic. Retrofit them with USDM projectors and all will be well.

heresmymind a member on here does the work for a reasonable price and I believe he provides the usdm projectors in the price. he has the experience to get it done the first time. you dont wanna be baking open the jdms without experience.
