That's all I can say at this point. My car over heated tonight. It's good damn cold out. So I won't really know how or way it over heated till tomorrow.

Most likely, I was getting bubbles in the reserve. This happened once before in the summer and it never over heated again till today......

damn you subaru!! we'll.. guess you will have to take this time to think of ALL the gaskets you would like to replace and maybe mods you can do to the engine while its out / being rebuilt.

This. Throw in that 2.2T bottom end for sale in the Classifieds, grab a turbo crossmember, manifold and pipes, and turbo it!

oh noes! My car overheated too last week, but its cus i'm leaking massive amounts of coolant somewhere.

Believe me the overhaul has been planned for months and already got a quote from WI. Financially it's not the time.

I hear ya man! There is no saving going on this month. Holidays are killer. If I took that 4-500 we spent on gifts and put it toward the car................................... :smt005 ....... :-(

Looks like $400-$500

Anyway I think because of the leak in the HG an air pocket formed. I usually have to fill it up every so often and I let it go a little longer than I should. But I bled the system and added more coolant. So far so good, but I didn't get to push it yet. Snow+ bald tires aren't fun.
