97 legacy l What color to paint?

Im going through some major rust work and am considering repainting the entire car! let me know what you think.

Unless you're planning on having the whole car disassembled to do it right (door jambs, underhood areas, inside the trunk, etc) I'd just keep it white. Nothing looks worse than a half done paint job.

I think white is very attractive on the 2nd gen Legacy, but I COULD be biased :) Seriously, I'll eventually get my car repainted and I've spun around the options too and can't see myself painting it any other color.

yellow will look best not to hard to keep clean like white and black either, plus almost any color wheel will look good with it

silver is an ugly color.. we intend to keep it that way. i'd never rock a yellow car.. straight up disgusting looking especially when its a dull piss sunflower yellow.

(it's cashmere yellow actually, and was only found on limited quantities of GTBs, RSKs and V5/6 STis)

nice suprised to see so many people like the yellow! I dig that pic aurelius put up. Didnt think yellow actually looked that sweet and am surprised at how "clean" it looks. I just see way to many white 2nd gens. Even in my little town i know of at least 6 sedans i couldnt even begin to count the wagons.

idk i jus saw a 08 legacy in the local dealers lot n it looked like a pearl color idk if it was but it sure looked like it to me def. different white than mine! correction on the last color. i looked up the color code and it is satin white pearl! my current white is pure white

think about it if you are going to go thru the trouble of repainting the car it makes sense to change it to non-stock color to have it your unique way. if you want grey then go dark grey not silver like every rental car, there are other colors like different shades of red green blue, white/black/silver are manufacturer's excuses because they can't come up with good colors themselves lol

Yea haha. To me it reminds me of a diff shade of the liberty blue! id use the white wheels for the summer n the gold snowflakes in the winter

i voted for the new pearl white assuming your engine bay and door jambs will be the old color and it wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb.

on the other hand, if you're gonna paint might as well go all out and make it a color you'd enjoy for quite awhile.

its a tough decision.

on a side note, blue + silver > blue + gold. gold rims looks best with a deep red or white IMHO

ya the engine bay and jambs will be getting painted too. My buddy has a shop with all the tools i need. He graduated the auto body class at our tech so im just gonna have to trust he knows whats hes doing lol
