Uhmmm... I found 2 Outbacks with black leather.... only they were wagons.
I think there's an owner from the midwest here, that has an SUS with black leather too.

What years? I never seen black leather seats in a 2nd gen. They could be aftermarket like mine is.

95-97 optional for LSi's
98-99 optional on Outback Sus's
there is one member here that has them in his 2nd gen gt

i have black leather in my ob. i would rather have cloth though. if i take a turn a bit fast and i have people in the back, they go sliding. just my 0.02 cents

And that's what I did. When I had my L, I put leather in it, only to pull it out and installed a charcoal GT Wagon interior.

Where do I start
--Hotter in the summer and they weren't heated for winter.
--I was in the process of balancing my car too. I had just done a brake upgrade and Leather was slightly heavier than cloth, but not by much. Something had to go.
--Immaculate seats, all but the driver. Had slight wear and tear that was by a heavy, HEAVY set salesman who did a lot of driving in the donor car.
--The Cloth kept me in my seat more firm-er. (if that's a werd  )
and they were in near excellent condition, as they were owned by another enthusiast here on the boards.
Don't get me wrong I like leather. I got a Beemer for that :smt023
Altho, I have my eye on an extremely rare set of cloth Vaders....
**edit**
You can barely make it out, but my son's Sony PSP (or anyone's for that matter) fits and locks into place where the seatbelt latches rest. Always stored it there, and never got scratched.

I think the closest you can get to "black" leather in a 2nd gen is charcoal grey...its a very dark grey, but not black. i.e. it doesn't perfectly match the black leather door cards.
