I got a cel code tonight! P0400. Egr flow malfunction. Any ideas?

Take the EGR tube out and make sure it is not clogged.

yeah, 9 out of 10 times this can be cleared up by running seafoam, or something like it thru the flow tube.

Seafoam is great stuff.
Also, take the valve off and use something to clean the stuff out of the inside of it.

Its the plastic piece up top. The one that looks like a disc. Change that and you wont have any more problems. I have had 3 subarus already with the same code. I replace that and its all good.

I had the same problem with my 96 lgt< tried bpt,silenoid, cleaned everthing. Found small filter inline in the vacum line from mass air flow to throttle body inline, backfushed it with carb cleaner, p0400 has now gone away. :smt005
