I just got my Legacy, a wonderful car, already I feel very attached to it. But my only complaint is that at night, there are no lights illuminating the transmission selections, or the climate control. My question is, is this because the lights or the fuses are burnt out, or because there are no lights there?

burnt out, there is a fix in the DIY section.

Well I see there are solutions for if the speedometer lights are burnt out, but Im asking about the lights that would be behind the airconditioner buttons, and illuminating the selections for the transmission. If you could give me a link to a fix for that I would appreciate it.

I've done my HVAC and cruise/foglight switch lights. Got bulbs from radioshack for like $2.50 total.

I made mine white, but just ordered Prosport gauges in green, so gonna swap them back to green...

Hope that helps!!!

superbrightleds.com has drop-in LED replacements for the all the gauges/HVAC/interior bulbs. You can color match with them too.

The light for the A/T selection is a 194 bulb.

The lights are burned out. Very common among Legacies of that generation.
