hey guys I haven't had time to do a thorough search but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the following parts would work with a 97 legacy 2.5gt (bd)?
-sti intake manifold
-sti coil pack and wires
-sti throttle body
-gauge cluster from an impreza 97 with 220 km/h
-impreza wrx jdm grille

and could you guys give me so advice on wether or not the sti equipment is worth it performance wise?

I got your PM, and I have serious doubts as to whether or not those items will fit without serious modification. I can't see any gains from any of it either.

Easier and more cost effective option will be to do:
1. Port n polish stock intake manifold
2. knife edge the throttle body plate
3. the MSD/Neon coil pack mod

Intake manifold won't bolt up, it's a different bolt pattern. Impreza grill is pretty different too.

That sucks...what about a gauge cluster from an impreza? And what exactly is knifing the throttle body? Is it when you grind down the edges of the throttle plate? And if so, how does that help?

What other mods do you have? Throttle body size is more than sufficient unless you are making a bunch of NA power.

no mods at the momment...that's what I'm looking for...got some people around me shedding parts from wrx's and sti's so I figured what the heck might as well see what I can use.

hey do you guys know what kind of modifications would be required to install an sti axle back muffler? I heard the flange is rotated and it's 3" (not sure stock size for us) what about the hangers?

The flange is rotated but the diameter is not quite 3". If you have the flange rotated it will bolt on. As for all those engine parts, none of that will work easily with your car and none of it is worth the hassle. Regarding that JDM Impreza front grill, is it the 99+ front grill with the honeycomb mesh? If so, I'd be interested in buying it for my Impreza.

Rotate flange, move a couple of hangers, done.
