01 GT ignition upgrade 00+ MSD Coil Pack

So is there anything out there to boost the ignition on the 01 2.5l engine? I can't seam to find anything. I read about the msd neon but that only works for the early 3wire coil pack. I would like some upgrade besides just spark plugs. Help me out guys!

Good wires are available - Rallitek make a set specifically for the 2.5L SOHC engine.

^^ no worries. Maybe you can pioneer an MSD upgrade to your stock coil...I'm sure MSD have something in their catalog that will work. They're a huge company.

what exactly will an ignition upgrade help? just curious

It will just make the car run smoother, burn the fuel better, increase mpg, better throttle response... I'm just taking this from guys doing their neon msd mod so I can't honestly say.

I wrote them about 2nd gen wires when I had my GT. I also just wrote them no for the coil pack too. I encourage everyone to write them, even though you don't own a Legacy that uses that type of coil pack.
