Hello All,

My name is Mike and I'm new (obviously). I've currently begun my hunt for a 2nd gen Legacy and hopefully I'll have one within the next two months. I was wondering, is there a GC style (rally inspired?) front end for these cars? Thanks!

p.s. I'm searching of course, it's been a while since I've been a newb somewhere..figured I'd ask too.

the bumper beam from a gc will bolt in the same place where you 2nd gen bumper beam bolts in the curves are different but it works and looks good...

there are pictures around here somewhere
search will be you friend in that one :D

oh and welcome

HA! Thanks. I actually found the front I want here:

This is stock from a TT right? It should still bolt up to a 2nd gen yes?

I found a few shells/dead Legacies locally and I found a JDM TT engine for cheap w/ trans. I may go ahead and pick up both...I just need to read up on ECU/Wiring harnesses first to make sure I'm not wasting my time.

yeap i have one bolted to the front of my car at this very moment, when you go after a JDM bumper try to snag one with the beam to make life easier if you want JDM foglights

Oh yea I want the big fogs too :D If I might ask, where abouts did you snag your setup and how much was it all together?

Welcome. FYI the TT motors will not work (without much modification) on the USDM LHD cars because of downpipe clearance issues on the steering column dealio. If you find a RHD postal wagon it will work.

Hmm...I could always turbo it I suppose. There is a postal wagon for sale on CL but it looks beat. Hmm, this changes things. i suppose I'll work on the body over winter and worry about performance come spring/summer time. Thanks guys you rock.

P.S. Is the anti-rollback feature present on all of the legacies? It sounds handy.

I'll have to keep scouting Ebay, I found one for $339, but they want $300 shipping too....fail!

Hey a Bronx guy! I'm from there ;) Ok I'm eyeballing that Legacy GT shell on CL. I may buy it and store the shell. For now I want to read up on engine swaps because I refuse to not have turbo.
