Since I'll need to replace my battery soon, I'd like to know what is the largest (physically) battery that will fit the BE/BH (with a 2,5 SOHC engine, if that matters)?

I think the stock battery is about 232 x 171 x 224mm (9.1 x 6.7 x 8,8"), but I'm not sure on that as my car already has a non-stock battery. I'd be happy if I could fit a larger battery (in terms of capacity), but most that I could find are physically different (64Ah - 242 x 175 x 175mm, 75Ah - 275 x 175 x 175mm, 80Ah - 275 x 175 x 190mm).

Thanks, D.

Good question.. I'm wondering the same thing about my 99 LGT.

Also, anyone know max CCA or does Max CCA not even matter as long as its enough?

I'll be watching this thread.. as I think fitting a larger battery in the car will allow quicker start up.. etc.

oem (according to advance auto) calls for 590 cca, for your money wal-mart (eewwww) has the best cca to $ battery i could find in my area 640cca for $75 and it seems to max out the battery space too

According to the service manual for my car (2002) the minimum cca is 430 and min RC is 90 for a MT and min cca 490 and min RC of 110 for AT it doesn't say anything about size
