Hey guys. Sorry to hear about the board going down, that's too bad, but I'm glad to be a part of the new group.

I just got my 2002 Legacy GT about 6 months ago and love it (I am now totally infatuated with Subaru's!). To the point, my front rotors are warped and I'm getting the infamous squeal from my pads. I want some decent rotors that aren't "cheapy" and won't warp on me in a heartbeat. I'd like to get it thru the internet, can anyone suggest a good site and/or a decent brand? I'd like to keep it below $100 ea. for now. As well, some suggestions for some decent brake pads? Thanks guys!

i think we all previously agreed that brembo rotors are good through tirerack.

as for pads, i'd personally stick with OEM.

Try out some other sites though, Tirerack is pretty expensive. Check out places like www.racecompengineering.com (http://www.racecompengineering.com) , I'd email the guys and they'll set you up with something great for a great price, I've dealt with them before and they know their stuff, and know Legacys. Shop around, we're slowly rebuilding the vendor links page, I'll try to get a bunch on there tonight for you to check out that are pretty amazing, go and compare rotors and prices between them...thats how you get the best product for the best price!

I've said it before and I'll say it 100 times more. Power slot slotted rotors, CARBO Tech Bobcat brake pads are GREAT and the Goodrige SS brakelines makes a great set up! I will buy them again before I get my STi setup.

Probably can't beat carbotech brake pads. I use Axxis Ultimates cause they don't make carbotechs for my size, but I buy them from Carbotech Engineering cause it's a good price. They do dust a whoie ton though.

I don't have a brake dust problem. I had more dust with the stock brake pads.

kkohlbacher21 - let me know how the brakes turn out. I'll probly be trying for a cheaper upgrade when my stocks wear out.

I decided on Power Slot rotors (cheapest price @ autopartswarehouse.com. They were great transacting with btw), "with" Hawk Brake Pads. The rotors are great, but Pep Boys (apparently) has the wrong information on brake pad size for Hawks on my car.

Being on stands when we realized their mistake, I had to borrow my dad's 74 Stingray to return them. *tear* <L>.

I ended up with Raybestos brake pads (yeah, lame but I had to have them NOW so I had to settle). They don't seem to be bad so far a month into them.
But I learned never to special-order from Pep Boys again.

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THE HELP!!
